Equivalent Electrical Circuit Modeling of Ceramic-Based Microbial Fuel Cells Using the Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) Analysis
The effect of the thickness of ceramic membrane on the productivity of microbial fuel cells (MFCs) was investigated with respect to the electricity generation and domestic wastewater treatment efficiencies. The thickest ceramic membrane (9 mm) gained the highest coulombic efficiency (27.58±4.2 %), voltage (681.15±33.1 mV), and current and power densities (447.11±21.37 mA/m2, 63.82±10.42 mW/m2) ...
متن کاملElectrical Impedance Spectroscopy for Electro-Mechanical Characterization of Conductive Fabrics
When we use a conductive fabric as a pressure sensor, it is necessary to quantitatively understand its electromechanical property related with the applied pressure. We investigated electromechanical properties of three different conductive fabrics using the electrical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). We found that their electrical impedance spectra depend not only on the electrical properties of t...
متن کاملCharacterization of Physiological Glucose Concentration Using Electrical Impedance Spectroscopy
Non-invasive glucose monitoring is crucial for effective diabetes mellitus treatment while a sound correlation of a non-invasive parameter to glucose level variation is quite challenging. This paper presents characterization of glucose concentrations using Electrical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) in three different solutions: 1) 0.9% NaCl, 2) Saline (NaCl 1.3gm, KCl 0.75gm, Na3C6H5O7 1.45gm, D-g...
متن کاملModelization of the Impedance Spectroscopy of composites by Electrical Networks
We examined in this work the effect of the inter-grains distributions as well as the scaling of the complex impedance in order to analyze its frequency dependance for composite metal-insulator films. The dependance of the characteristic frequencies on the inter-grain distribution is shown for large sample sizes. The impedance spectra become statistically stable above sizes of the order 200x200.
متن کاملAnalysis of the willow root system by electrical impedance spectroscopy
Information on plant roots is increasingly needed for understanding and managing plants under various environmental conditions, including climate change. Several methods have been developed to study fine roots but they are either destructive or cumbersome, or may not be suitable for studies of fine root functionality. Electrical impedance, resistance, and capacitance have been proposed as possi...
